Welcome to asmahh.com. My name is Ian Darlington and this is my personal web site which acts as both my portfolio and as a hub for my personal projects. This includes web sites which I produced during my time in College and University, as well as an online album of my work with photography.

I graduated from Liverpol John Moores University with a BSc in Software Engineering in July 2009 and currently reside in Liverpool. My main knowledge base lies in hard coding web sites using a combination of HTML/XHTML, CSS and PHP, but also extends to some limited experience with Adobe Photoshop and Flash/Actionscript. While I prefer coding sites from scratch using a plain-text/simple WYSIWIG editor, I do have plenty of experience with Adobe Dreamweaver.

As I mentioned previously, I prefer hard coding web sites myself, which, unfortunately, extends to simplistic graphical interfaces. However, as with this site I am extending my graphics-oriented knowledge, though at the moment it's mostly manipulating existing graphics freely available for download and following tutorials. I also have experience in converting full layouts created in Photoshop into a HTML design, as with this site.
